The camera then focuses on her to show how sad she is when she's thinking about it , this creates tension and makes the audience feel sorry and feel for her . What’s meant by the term ‘audience needs’? What's meant by the term 'audience needs'  Audience needs  may be wants, deficits, conditions, or other gaps between skills/knowledge  audiences   already have and those they want. Why do we consume certain types of media? We consume  different types of media for different purposes for example for entertainment. We watch TV shows such as the X Factor for enjoyment where as we watch other programmes such as the News for a knowledge purpose to get information about what is going on in the world. All the different programmes represent different genres and they all have a different meaning for why we consume them.
